Hey kin!

Several of us have been working together to develop a way to get a fairly quick, but VERY BASIC idea of which instances your toon is most ready to run. It's called our Instance Readiness Estimator, developed by several RK members specifically for Runic Knights.

It is not all-knowing: it assumes you have chosen the right stats for your class and role, and that you know how to play well -- it will not show you if you have the wrong legacies, or too much/little of any specific stat.

Please let Celordal know if you have any questions!

Cel:

Thank you for this. The layout looks very clean and helpful. But I am wondering if there is something missing. I worked my Fire RK, Ryleth, through the IRE and came out with an Adjusted Gear Level of 305: too low to do any content. Ryleth in a fire build is one of the stronger of my toons and has successfully participated in Anvil T1 and Thikil T2. So either I am missing something, or there is something missing in the Estimator.

The earlier version of the Estimator asked questions about legendary weapons and added to your rank score based on the answers. I don't see a spot for doing this. Is that what I am supposed to enter in the Class/Ranged and the Offhand lines? It is not clear that this refers to legendaries or to the non-legendary items that some classes have (e.g. a hunter's non-legendary sword or a guardian's shield.) What's confusing me is that those lines include a column for color and number of essences and, of course, legendaries don't have essences as such.

I will continue to play with it to see if I can work it out. But I thought I should post this initial feedback. And, as always, this is a great and useful project.

Thanks, ryl, I'll check the calculations when I get home, I probably didn't carry something over right when I updated the look.

The LIs we actually eliminated when we updated yo 120, so the two spots are for ranged, class, and/or offhand Non legendary-- although I need to take the essence slot out so that won't cause confusion.

Thanks, Cel. As we discussed on Sunday, I entered the additional data for my riffler in and came out at 382. With my particular legendaries, I am likely to find Anvil T2 challenging but doable.

For what it's worth, I ran my guard through and got the same score.

Again, thanks for doing this.

I have a question: What piece is the Back? Isn't that part of the Chest piece? doesn't it fit like a shirt? Covers all around the torso? According to this link I am able to do T2 now but according to other pages I still need to bring up a few items still. Even though I have a majority of the items I think I need two more.

The "back" piece of gear is your cloak. That's what the in-game tooltip calls the empty slot where your cloak goes.

We created our guide because we felt many of the other recommendations were a bit too high. This will help you know if your gear is "good" enough, but we also have a recommendation for a few specific stats, based on our experiences in there:

Ranged DPS
  • Morale: 100K
  • Crit rating: 20%
  • Finesse: 25%
  • Mastery: 180%
  • Mitigations: 35%

If you meet these stats, and your gear is at least 380 on our estimator, then we can try to bring you along if/when we take our next peek into T2. (We haven't been doing that very often lately, as our first couple of attempts showed us that it is indeed difficult, and we're still working on getting our T1 runs super-smooth. :-D )

The stats listed above are far more specific to your class and role than the estimator -- it's possible for the estimator to show your gear is good enough, but if you've picked less-than-optimal stats you won't have the numbers for the important things a hunter needs. For example, a hunter is an offensive class that only plays offensive roles. If you have defensive stuff with Crit D, resistance, or more vitality than agility, you'll probably have to swap that out for offensive stuff to get to the minimum stats. Let me know if you have any other questions!
