Raid Guide: The Abyss of Mordath (in progress)

As of 2/17/2018, someone has gotten further than us and had provided some interesting suggestions.

Thank you for showing me the ropes. I only wish you started earlier in the evening. As it was way passed my bed time. And we were at the 2nd boss! A suggestion with the adds. When the knight comes in if you don't defeat it right away 2 mobs come in when you defeat the knight. They add acid on the floor. If you can kill the knight where the floor is acid then you can keep the acid on that part of the bridge. ( I know easier said than done)

Yes, we had been trying to do that, but they do not respect aggro, which is why we were getting Cel to use her horn to stun them as soon as they come out. After that I hit them with some follow-up CC. That is ussually enough time to kill them. However we were having trouble last night, I don't think they were getting focused as much as they should have because many times even the 10s of CC we can buy wasn't enough to take them down.

Also there is a fear that sometimes affects those that are within melee range the moment the knight dies, so that's not great for our strategy either.

Glad to have you along Abarian! Unfortunately Bitz and I have family activities going on that prevent us from beginning earlier in the evening. Starting earlier is always a possibility if there is someone else willing and able to run and lead it, and enough other players able to join in earlier.

The 2 adds actually come when the knight is killed no matter how fast you kill the knight. As Dae mentioned, our strategy is to pull the Knight to the opposite side of the hallway from where Sagrog is being tanked, and kill the Knight there. Then, when the adds spawn, they are immediately stunned and the DPS is supposed to take them down quickly before the stun wears off, so the acid puddles remain across the hall from Sagrog, and far away from the ranged DPS. As mentioned, if the stun misses (or the person supposed to stun is feared or incapacitated) then the adds randomly go running off, and cannot be pulled back to a safer location; thus they drop their acid puddles wherever they die. Generally it goes more smoothly than last night, but we had a few people on toons they haven't brought in much (like my champion!) which always means more mistakes and a bit more chaos. It was still a fun run though!
